My 3 Days Knitting The Island Bag ☀️🧶
Moc An KnitsSome projects seem to fly off the needles, and The Island Bag was definitely one of them.
I cast on while spending a few days near the beach, thinking it would be the perfect travel project. What I didn't expect was how quickly it would grow!

On Day 1, I spent the morning knitting by the sea. The pattern is simple and rhythmic, so it was easy to relax and enjoy the view while watching the stitches add up. By the afternoon, I had moved to the pool and just kept going. Before the day was over, I was already nearly halfway through the bag.
Day 2 was another beautiful knitting day. Back to the beach, back to my needles, and this time with the most amazing sunset view. Those are my favorite knitting moments—the ones where you almost forget you're working on a project because you're enjoying the process so much.
By the end of the second day, the bag was already about 90% finished. Honestly, I couldn't believe how fast it was knitting up.
Day 3 was all about the finishing touches. I folded the bag, bound off the stitches, knitted the I-cord strap, and suddenly... it was done.
And the best part?
The very next day, I got to take it right back to the beach with me.
✨ Ta-da!
There's something so satisfying about finishing a project and immediately putting it to use. The Island Bag has become one of those pieces I'll happily bring everywhere throughout the summer.
If you're looking for a quick and relaxing knitting project, this one is such a fun knit. The pattern uses simple stitches, works up surprisingly fast, and includes photo guides and video tutorials to help you along the way.
